The Annual General Meeting of the Political and Legal Educators Association of Western Australia

Members are invited to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and reflect of the ATAR Politics and Law exam for 2025.

We will also hear from Mr. Robert Owen SC, Director of Public Prosecutions in Western Australia, who will share his perspective on prosecution in a climate of ongoing debate about sentencing, bail reform, and youth offending.

Refreshments will be available on arrival at the AGM and post the AGM. Feel free to socialise with your colleagues at the conclusion of the AGM. Please register your attendance for seating and catering purposes.

Nominations for the PLEAWA Committee

  • All Positions on the PLEAWA Committee will be declared vacant at the AGM on 31 October 2025.
  • Members are encouraged to consider taking on one of the roles that are vital for the continuation of the Association.
  • Should you have an interest in filling any of the positions on the Committee please complete a nomination form and submit it to the PLEAWA Secretary before the AGM.
  • Please ensure you read the nomination form and the related sections of the PLEAWA Constitution prior to your nomination.
  • No late nominations will be accepted.

WHEN:

WHERE:
Law Lecture Theatre, the University of Western Australia

TIME: 9:45am for registration, 10:00am commencement 12:30pm finish

  • A Zoom link will be sent to all attendees by 9:45am. Any student who does not receive this link should email the PLEAWA Secretary prior to the commencement of the seminar.
