PLEAWA Constitution - current (2018)

The Political and Legal Educators Association of Western Australia (Incorporated) last completed some constitutional changes at our 2017 Annual General Meeting. The constitution has effect from 19 December 2017 (as advised by Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, Consumer Protection).

Proposed changes to the PLEAWA Constitution - future

In the future it may be necessary for the Committee of Management to propose amending the Constitution due to:

All proposals to change the Constitution require passage by special resolution as a General Meeting or Annual General Meeting.

For a special resolution to be passed/successful we require:

  1. a quorum to be reached at the AGM; and
  2. a vote of at least three-fourths (75%) in support by those members in attendance of the meeting.
